Bubonic Plague Symptoms
THE PLAGUE SYMPTOMS
There were three types of the Bubonic plague. The most common caught one was the Bubonic Plague. There was also the Pneumonic plague and the septicemic plague. It usually appears within 3-7 days and if the plague has been caught it is much like the flu symptoms. At the beginning of the infectious plague, small symptoms (as follows) will appear within a few days after transmitted:
If the Bubonic Plague has been caught, you will experience painful swollen lymph glands (otherwise known as buboes). These typically are formed in the groin, armpits, neck, or site of the insect bite or scratch. The buboes is what gives the plague its name. Later on, you may get dark red spots under the skin from infected fleabites and you may bleed from under the skin causing purplish blotches.
Pneumonic Plague
Pneumonic Plague symptoms can appear as quickly as one day after exposure to the bacteria. The symptoms include:
Septicemic Plague Symptoms
Symptoms for this plague commonly start within 2-7 days after exposure. Septicemic plague can lead to death before symptoms even appear. Main symptoms can include:
- Chills
- Seizures
- Fevers & headaches
- Weakness & muscle pain

- Trouble breathing
- Chest pain
- Cough
- Fever
- Headache
- Weakness
- Bloody sputum (saliva and mucus from the lungs)

- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Nausea and vomiting
- Fever and chills
- Weakness
- Bleeding
- Shock
